As you probably know, people look at you from the front, right in your face. It's what they see first, it's what they see most often, it's how their perception of you is formed.

Secondly, it's the hair in front that "frames" your face, which enhanced your best features and lessens the effect of your worst. While a bald spot in the crown area is sometimes called "cute", a receding hairline screams old.

Your alternatives are somewhat limited. Assuming you don't want to wear a wig or toupe (most men don't), your other options are drugs like Rogaine© or Propecia ©, various combinations of surgical techniques such as transplants, flaps and scalp reductions, or what we believe to be the most viable alternative of all - the newly developed Allieve procedure.
Whats wrong with surgery
Nothing at all. But Rogaine and Propecia can't do anything about hairlines. If you don't believe it, read carefully a Rogaine or Propecia ad. They say they are effective for only "certain types" of hair loss or that they only work in the "vortex and mid-scalp area".

All any hair restoration method can do is create an illusion. Get it out of your head that you'll ever be able to duplicate exactly the hair you had before you lost it. You won't. You can't.

With Rogaine and Propecia, you might wonder how the "naturally" growing hair they claim to produce could be considered an illusion. First, remember that they do not claim to grow hairlines.

Secondly, in the area where they do grow hair, the crown, much of the "hair growth" is peach fuzz. What every any fully pigmented anagen hairs that do grow are "combed over" the peach fuzz and bald spots, to create an illusion of density.

Transplants also cannot achieve the full density of original growing hair. If you're lucky enough, hair growth will occur to cover the evidence of hair plugs themselves, whatever scarring they caused, and the area of bald scalp in which they were placed.

Ernie creates the best illusion of all. His process is illusionary in only one regard, the hair does not grow. Everything else is very real. The new hair emanates from the scalp. It is placed in the same density and growth pattern as your original hair. There are no scars. With our process, you won't be combing hair over to cover bald spots or thinning areas.

Best of all, our process creates a real honest-to-goodness hairline, without drugs or surgery. Brush it straight back and you'll see the individual hairs, progressing to thicker, denser hair, hair that continues through the scalp, intermingling with your own growing hair.

An illusion? Yes. But unlike drugs or surgery, this illusion is one of a full head of hair, not a thing head of hair bravely trying to conceal bald patches of scalp!

Make a mental check list of what you really want. Then see how Allieve compares.

Think about what you're really looking for in hair restoration. A believable hairline? Enough hair density to cover bald areas? Hair that is cosmetically acceptable in appearance? Allieve can achieve all these goals. Without drugs or surgery.

It's no the loss of hair that's making you crazy. There's a lot of truth to that quote. With men, it's not the loss of hair itself that's the problem. It's the ramifications of hair loss. There are really only two:
  • Hair loss accentuates your worst facial features.
If you have a long face, lack of a hairline makes it look longer: without hair, there's more forehead. If your nose is large, having no hairline makes it look bigger. A hairline adds a horizontal counterbalance; without it, people just see more nose. Weak chin or low cheekbones? Again the lack of counterbalance that a hairline would provide accentuates the problem areas. And so on.
  • Hair loss makes you look older.
Everyone knows that hair loss makes you appear older. Here's why; hair loss normally occurs in middle-aged men. So the "going bald" look no one thinks twice about at 45, gives the appearance of middle age, even if you're only in your twenties. The classic "horseshoe bald" appearance of middle is considered to be the providence of the elderly. So men have lost all their hair, except that on the sides and back of the head have the appearance, to some extent, of an elderly man.
